Holiday Catalog Shopping Party – Free Catalogs!

shopping party on pinterestEvery holiday season I get stacks of catalogs in the mail.  I’ve always been an avid online shopper; I just can’t help it.  Amazon now meets a lot of my needs, but I love the unique stuff.  That’s where I got the idea for a holiday catalog shopping party!  I thought:

Why not have everyone come over and we’ll just dive into the catalogs, gossip, play games, and get a jump on our holiday shopping?

Last year was my first attempt.  I asked my gal pals to bring their catalogs and I provided lots of snacks and even more catalogs.  But I knew we’d need some guidance on the shopping, so I developed a few games to help us put our shopping hats on, threw in a White Elephant gift exchange for laughs, and off we went.

This year, I’m trying to improve on what I started.  First things first – the catalogs.   I had to start filling out free catalog requests early to make sure I was giving the suppliers enough time to get me one.  I think last year I waited too long and many of the catalogs arrived after my party.  This year, I’ve already rounded up the following:

I’m supplying links to request a free catalog from as many of these vendors as possible so that you can start your own holiday catalog shopping party!  Next post, games…
